Michael has spent the last ten years renovating older homes in Colorado, with a focus on energy efficiency. Before that he spent 10 years remodeling upscale homes in Northern Virginia. Solar-thermal heating and hot-water systems are a passion. Michael is also the founder of San Juan Youthworks, a wilderness and vocational training program for low-income at-risk youth in Southern Colorado. He holds a degree in Business and Finance from George Mason University and plans to earn an MBA from CSU in the near future. In his free time Michael likes to spend time with his family in the outdoors.

Home Builder & Home Energy Rater: 20 years experience

Michael started his career as a carpentry contractor in the Central Virginia area, specializing in framing, siding, decks, and trim work. He founded Timberland Homes, a residential custom home building company, building over four hundred homes. The award winning builder had a reputation for constructing superior quality, energy efficient homes, that were in compliance with Energy Star requirements. He is concentrating his efforts on the comprehensive aspects of melding superior construction with intelligent insulation and mechanical systems. In his free time, Michael spends time writing, painting, playing music and enjoying time with his family.

Alex started building and remodeling homes with his grandfather when he was 16 years old. In addition he has worked for Habitat for Humanity and Calibre Engineering as an Auto-Cad Technician. When he’s not working he enjoys spending time with his daughter.

Michael started building and remodeling homes with his grandfather when he was 16 years old and has also worked for Habitat for Humanity. He has a degree in Business and Spanish from University of Northern Colorado, is a part-time staffer for Christ Community Church in Greeley. In his free time he likes to climb, mountain bike and camp with his friends and family.

Brandy Stevens

Customer Satisfaction Manager: 10 years experience

Brandy was a Customer Service Manager for Home Depot for over 10 years. She has a thorough understanding of the building materials industry, installation contractors and customer relations. She will ensure that our customers get the very best prices on materials and that all work is completed to meet our customer’s highest expectations and on schedule. As a mother of 3, free-time is hard to come by but she enjoys running and is an active member of her children’s schools and athletic teams

Bert Truitt

Remodeler, Drywall and Painting: 35 years experience

Bert has worked in both new construction and remodeling for most of his adult life. He prefers working with customers who appreciate high quality work and an organized job-site. When he’s not working, Bert enjoys fishing, playing golf and spending time with his wife and 5 grandchildren.
